The old city of Cartagena, its historic center, is surrounded by 11 km of wall (8 km left) in order to protect the city from constant attacks by the enemies of the crown and pirates.

La SerrezuelaLa Serrezuela was originally built in 1893 and used to be the central theater and bullfighting arena. They would host bullfights, horse shows, plays and concerts, and boxing tournaments until the 1970s.
