Upon arrival at Funzi , you will get to sail up the river on a motorized canoe. On either side of the river, you can see a stretch of the mangrove forest.
The river abounds with exceptional bird life and you have a chance to spot occasional crocodiles as they bask in the sun by the river bank.
Please note that the water in River Ramisi is not clear (due to the mangrove) therefore, not suitable for snorkeling. This trip is a calm and relaxing trip.
A stop on the sandbank ensures that you’re at the most beautiful spot on the coast for swimming and making the most of this little piece of paradise. (Don’t forget your sunscreen, swimming suits, towel and beach sandals).
After the boat trip, you head to the Funzi Village, where you visit the market, see the houses and schools. (This is optional for only who desire)
Afterwards, we head to the Funzi Restaurant where seafood delicacies accompanied by Swahili dishes are served. A Sample of our seafood specialties include : crab, grilled fish and coconut rice or chips. For non-seafood menus we offer chicken or beef. Vegetarian dishes are also catered for on request.
After a few minutes rest, you are then dropped off at your hotel.
