Tirta GanggaLiterally means “Blessed Water of Ganges,” this water palace was built and designed by Anak Agung Anglurah Ketut Karangasem, the last ruling King of Karangasem who happened to be a prominent canal engineer in 1948. Tirta Gangga was created to improve the holiness of the spring water and to serve as a place for comtemplation, rest and joy for everyone. The 1.2-hectare palace comprises mainly of ponds, plants and sculptures mixing Balinese and Chinese style. The stepping stone and the fountain are the main spectacle but you can swim in the pond (which is regarded as holy) and feed the fish for great picture and relaxation.
