TiranaYour day begins with a scenic drive from Tirana, Durrës, or Golem to Gjirokastra, which takes about four hours in total. Along the way, your tour guide will share interesting facts and stories about Albania. We’ll also make a short stop to enjoy a coffee, use the restroom, and stretch our legs before continuing the journey.

GjirokasterUpon arrival in Gjirokastra—one of Albania’s most beautiful and historic towns—your guide will introduce you to this UNESCO World Heritage Site, famous for its well-preserved Ottoman architecture and unique stone houses. Together, we’ll stroll through the charming old bazaar, lined with colorful shops, handmade crafts, and picture-perfect corners.

Gjirokastra BazaarAfter the guided introduction to the old town, you’ll have free time to experience the “stone city” at your own pace—whether it’s shopping in the bazaar, wandering through the narrow cobbled streets, enjoying lunch, or visiting one of the local museums.

The Blue EyeIn the afternoon, we head to the Blue Eye (Syri i Kaltër), one of Albania’s most magical natural wonders. This deep spring, surrounded by trees and clear blue water, looks like a giant eye. You’ll have time to walk around, take in the peaceful nature, and maybe dip your feet in the refreshing water, which stays cold all year round! After visiting the Blue Eye, we’ll begin our return trip to Tirana, Durrës, or Golem, ending a day filled with culture, nature, and beautiful views
- KNOW BEFORE YOU RESERVE: PICK UP: If you select the hotel pick-up option, please note that in some cases, you may be kindly asked to walk a short distance (1–5 minutes) to a nearby main street. This is usually due to certain hotels being located on narrow streets where our buses cannot easily access IMPORTANT: You’ll receive the final tour details via email and WhatsApp the night before the tour, between 22:30 and midnight. Pick-up times may slightly change depending on the schedule, so it’s very important to check our message. If you’re asleep when we send the info, just check it in the morning to confirm your pick-up time. MOBILE DATA ROAMING: On the tour day, all communication will be via WhatsApp, so please make sure your phone number is linked to WhatsApp and you have mobile data/roaming enabled.
