The Great Wall at BadalingAt the appointed time this morning, your guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel lobby. Badaling Great Wall, located in the northwest of Beijing, is the best-preserved and most representative section of the Ming Dynasty Great Wall, often hailed as "the cream of the Great Wall." Its towering ramparts, dense watchtowers, and strategic terrain made it a vital military stronghold guarding the capital since ancient times. Visitors can explore two main routes from the Badaling Pass: the northern trail, which features 12 watchtowers and leads to the highest point—the North 8th Tower, offering a sweeping panoramic view of the wall snaking like a dragon across rugged mountain ridges; and the gentler southern route with 7 watchtowers, ideal for a more leisurely stroll. Lunch is not included; visitors are advised to bring energy snacks like chocolate or bread. Fast-food options such as KFC, Subway, and Starbucks are also available at the foot of the wall.

Mutianyu Great WallAfterward, your guide will accompany you in vehicle for 1.5 hours to the Mutianyu Great Wall, the longest and most beautiful section in Beijing, featuring dense, distinctive watchtowers and a core strategic pass used for command and combat. It is less crowded, more popular with international visitors, and offers more primitive scenery and complete facilities. Our all-inclusive tour provides the round-trip cable car to Watchtower No. 14 high on the Great Wall, which is perfect for visitors of all ages. For a more thrilling and fun experience, you can also choose to ascend to the lower Watchtower No. 6 by chairlift and descend on a fast, exhilarating toboggan ride. Just confirm your choice with your guide on the spot. For safety reasons, Children under 10 without an adult’s company, visitors aged 60 and above, or those with acrophobia, hypertension, or heart disease, are not permitted to take the toboggan. Instead, you can take the chairlift down.
