Overview
Mike's extensive knowledge of the reef in Lauderdale by the Sea ensures an unforgettable underwater adventure. This unique spot is just a few minutes swim from shore and features hard and soft corals, colorful sponges, and diverse marine life.
- 🐠 Conditions permitting, daily sightings include angelfish, parrotfish, blue headed wrasse, and sergeant majors.
- 🦈 Various types of rays, sea turtles, eels, and nurse sharks (not dangerous) are also frequently observed.
- 📸 Participants can take pictures with the quaint town and historic Anglin's Pier in the background.
- 👥 The experience is conducted in small groups of 4-6 people, with a maximum of 8 participants.

You'll be given gear and beginner instruction, as well as a trip briefing. After that it's a short walk to the beach where everyone gets some practice in shallow water before a short swim out to the reef. Conditions permitting, you will see a living coral reef with soft and hard corals, colorful sponges and a wide variety of tropical fish. Mike will guide the tour and point out various marine life along the way. Mike is a PADI certified and insured Divemaster and has conducted over 700 guided trips on this beautiful section of reef, which is teeming with life. You will be offered optional photographs above and below the water. All the photos on this page as well as the website were taken by Mike on the section of reef he tours daily.
