Many houses are painted in bright colors such as blue, green, or yellow, creating a warm and Caribbean atmosphere. The yard is usually spacious, with fruit trees like mango, avocado, and plantain. It is also common to see chickens, dogs, and small gardens where they grow cassava, corn, or beans.
