National Monument (MONAS)Explore the grounds and the high-rise viewing tower of this well-known obelisk built to commemorate Indonesian independence from the Netherlands. Entry to the grounds is free, but the "Optional Tower ascent has a nominal fee.

Jakarta CathedralTake a brief walk around the cathedral grounds and view the interior and exterior of the cathedral, as well as the prayer garden. This demonstrates an interesting juxtaposition of culture & religion in Jakarta during the tour, showing Christian traditions alongside the (majority) Islamic traditions and also Buddhist traditions.
