Star Mosque (Tara Masjid)A local nobleman, Mirza Ghulam Pir (d. 1860), originally built the mosque and hence it was known as Mirza Ghulam Pir Mosque. Later, in 1926, a businessman named Ali Jan Bepari renovated the mosque, adding stars and other motifs. The mosque then got its present name Tara (also Sitara) Masjid.

Ahsan ManzilAhsan Manzil is also known as the Pink Palace. This was the official residential palace and seat of the Nawab of Dhaka. It was constructed in the Indo-Saracenic Revival architecture. It has been designated as a national museum.
