Those life-size figures were uncovered by peasants in 1974 when digging a well and then became the major archaeological discovery of the 20th century. For 2,200 years, the Xi’an terracotta warriors silently guarded the tomb of Qin Shihuang, the first Emperor of China. It has also became the top attraction on every visitor's itinerary. Your tour guide will accompany you to see all three pits in the museum and give you detailed introductions of their historical background and significance.
