White Rock PierThe 470-metre-long White Rock Pier is a major attraction in White Rock, and is a destination filled with family memories, walks on the beach and fish and chips. This unique wood construction was built in 1914 and underwent restoration in 1977. In December 2018, it was torn in half during a winter storm and was repaired in time for a summer reopening in 2019.

Although there are not really 1001 steps, there are a lot! The zigzag of steps takes you down 40 metres to a pathway that parallels the Burlington North rail line. About 200 metres along the trail you'll find an underpass that provides access to the beach. The pathway and steps offer amazing ocean views, with opportunities for viewing harbour seals and other wildlife.
