  • Itsukushima
From Hiroshima Station, it takes about 60 minutes to reach Miyajima Island by train and ferry. Depending on your meeting point, transportation may include a streetcar and ferry. For a faster and more scenic option, an optional speedboat takes you directly to the island in about 45 minutes.
  • Itsukushima Shrine Torii
One of the most iconic images of Japan, this massive torii gate is often featured in travel advertisements. It appears to float on the sea, creating a breathtaking scene that changes with the tides and the changing light.
  • Itsukushima Shrine
One of UNESCO’s World Heritage Sites with a history of over 1,400 years. Known for its elegant vermilion buildings constructed over the water, the shrine appears to float gracefully on the sea at high tide.
  • Daishoin Temple
The guide’s personal favorite. With beautiful wooden halls and charming, uniquely expressive statues, this hidden gem often exceeds visitors’ expectations. Many guests leave with a smile, saying it was one of their favorite stops.
  • Miyajima Omotesando Shopping Street
A lively street lined with local crafts, snacks, restaurants, and souvenir shops. You can also try Hiroshima’s famous maple-leaf-shaped cakes, called momiji manju. Please note that the strolling time may vary depending on how much time you have left on the island.
  • Miyajima Port Sambashi Bridge
Continue to the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park by ferry and streetcar (approximately 75 minutes). For a faster option, you can choose an optional speedboat that takes you directly to the park in about 45 minutes.
  • Atomic Bomb Dome
As one of the few structures to survive the 1945 atomic bombing, this building stands as a powerful symbol of both destruction and hope. Our guide will share its history and explain Hiroshima’s path from devastation to becoming a city dedicated to peace.
  • Hypocenter of Atomic Bombing
A stone monument marking the hypocenter — the exact spot directly beneath the point where the atomic bomb exploded in the air.
  • Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park
Explore the park's major monuments while learning about Hiroshima's history before and after the atomic bombing, as well as the meanings behind the memorials. Hiroshima-born local guides may also share family stories related to the bombing and its aftermath, helping bring Hiroshima's history to life.
  • Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum
After visiting Peace Memorial Park, you will enter the museum for a self-guided visit. Through authentic artifacts, photographs, and personal testimonies, you will gain a deeper understanding of the atomic bombing and its impact on the people of Hiroshima.
