Hue Imperial City (The Citadel)Enter Hue Imperial City, the political and cultural center of the Nguyen Dynasty. Passing through Ngo Mon Gate, the scale of the citadel becomes clear. Wide courtyards, symmetrical layouts, and ceremonial spaces like Thai Hoa Palace reveal how the empire was structured and governed. Further inside, the remains of the Forbidden Purple City offer a more personal glimpse into royal life. Though partly ruined, the atmosphere still carries a sense of history and quiet grandeur.
