It’s also where the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates meet, allowing us to “walk between continents” at this unique location. Adding to the experience, we’ll take a short hike to the picturesque Öxararfoss waterfall, one of Iceland's few human-made waterfalls. The Öxará River was redirected in the 10th century to provide water for parliamentary assemblies.
