Chand Baori (Step well)Our first destination was the Chand Baori Stepwell, located in Abhaneri village of Rajasthan, India. Known as one of the most picturesque stepwells in the country, it is also believed to be the oldest surviving one in Rajasthan and possibly even all of India.

Fatehpur SikriOur next stop after Abhaneri is Fatehpur Sikri, a charming city in northern India that was founded by a 16th-century Mughal emperor. This small city boasts red sandstone buildings clustered at its center, with the impressive Buland Darwaza gate serving as the entrance to Jama Masjid mosque. A must-see nearby is the beautiful marble Tomb of Salim Chishti, while Diwan-E-Khas hall features an intricately carved central pillar. The Jodha Bais Palace stands out for its fusion of Hindu and Mughal architectural styles, situated right next to the stunning 5-story Panch Mahal which offers breathtaking views of the entire site.
