Cheonjiyeon Falls[Seogwipo Gangjeong Port Guests Only] The name "Cheonjiyeon" means a pond where heaven and earth meet, with a waterfall height of 22 meters and a pond depth of 20 meters, aptly describing this natural wonder. The pond at the base of the waterfall is home to the marbled eel, known for its migratory nature—spawning in the sea and returning to rivers or lakes. These eels hide in deep waters during the day and come out to feed at night, with the largest reaching up to 2 meters in length and weighing 20 kg. As Cheonjiyeon Waterfall marks the northern limit of the marbled eel's habitat, it has been designated Natural Monument No. 27. This makes Cheonjiyeon Waterfall a "treasure trove of natural monuments."
