Visit the Chokhelao garden which sits at the foot of the Mehrangarh Fort. This over two hundred year old garden has recently been restored, complete with the scents, sounds and textures of a garden of eighteenth century Marwar. The garden today, as in the past, is truly a celebration of nature as it captures the changing colors of the seasons in the upper terrace of flower beds. Mehrangarh Fort stands a hundred feet in splendor on a perpendicular cliff, four hundred feet above the sky line of Jodhpur. Burnished red sand stone, imposing, invincible and yet with a strange haunting beauty that beckons .
