Hase-dera is not to be missed in June, when beautiful hydrangea flowers bloom all around the temple's grounds. - Hokokuji Temple is best known for the beautiful, small bamboo grove behind the temple's main hall. A narow path leads through the bamboo to a tea house where you can sit and enjoy a cup of matcha tea while enjoying the view. Important: tea house entrance fees not included. (pass by)
- Start off your trip to Kamakura passing by Komachi street, a peculiar strip of modernity in the center of an ancient city, where trendy boutiques and food stalls line up until the entrance of Hachimangu shrine. (pass by)
- Visit the most famous Shrine in Kamakura, where Hachiman, the patron god of the Minamoto family and of the samurai in general, is worshipped. (pass by)
