As the only Kutani ware kiln in Kanazawa, Kutani Kosen Kiln was established in 1870 and all ceramics are crafted by hand, from blending and shaping the clay on the wheel to the final stages of drawing and coloring. Join the workshop to learn the traditional technique of drawing your design on a blank ceramic piece followed by choosing your preferable colors for your design from the traditional color samples. Later the skilled craftsmen will complete the coloring on your behalf using traditional Kutani pigments.
