Kanchanaburi War Cemetery6:30 AM meet the group at the designated meeting point or a pick-up from your hotel in the city center. Then head directly to Kanchanaburi Province. 10.00 am Explore Kanchanaburi War Cemetery. Chungkai was one of the base camps on the Burma-Siam railway and contained a hospital and church built by Allied prisoners of war. The war cemetery is the original burial ground started by the prisoners themselves, and the burials are mostly of men who died at the hospital. There are now 1,426 Commonwealth and 313 Dutch burials of the Second World War in this cemetery. (Total time included travelling from Bangkok to Kanchanburi)

And as the name suggests, this small museum displays photographs and illustrations narrating the living condition of prisoners of war (POWs) during that cruel time, some of which were donated by former POWs who survived.
