Downtown Kansas City transforms into an afternoon of seven deliberate stops on this walking experience, each one chosen for what it says about the city rather than how it photographs, with a local food specialist connecting every dish to the story behind it and building toward a finale that makes sense of everything eaten along the way.

Your journey begins at Union Station, the Beaux-Arts landmark that once moved more passengers than any station in America, and unfolds from there at an easy pace. Beef burnt end stew opens the tastings, the slow-smoked Kansas City original served in a form found nowhere else. A neighbourhood sandwich institution follows, then a Ham and Pear Ciabatta lightens the pace before a short ride on the Kansas City Streetcar carries the group to a rooftop stop for a caramelised Kouign-Amann. A specialty chocolate closes the experience.
