We will take you on a journey to enjoy the highlights of Kauai’s south and west. Marvel at the power of nature as we share with you legends, history, culture and the geology of our islands. A day filled with many leisure stops, and opportunities to eat and shop local.
Included on this tour are several stops at the famous Waimea Canyon, 800' Waipoo Falls, the Spouting Horn, charming Hanapepe town and its swinging bridge, the black sand beach where Captain Cook first landed in Hawaii, and the largest coffee plantation in the USA.

Departure is at 8:00am. Be ready 10 Mts before. Please wait outside the Island Country Market on the side facing the Hwy. Ample parking area. We will txt you the day before the tour to check in. Make sure to provide a valid cell number to get in contact with you.
Departure is at 8:30am. Be ready 10 Mts before. Walk across the street from the mall and wait by the Shave Ice sign. If you are driving, park by the ocean at the public parking. If you come from the ship you can walk or take the free shuttle to the Mall. We will drop you off at port at 3:30pm.

Spouting HornA drive through the beautiful tunnel of trees will lead us to our first stop at the famous Spouting Horn, an extinct lava tube that became a water geyser. Marvel at the power of nature as the waves crash on the shore and water rushes through the tube. Your guide will share the legend of the site, sound effects and all.

Hanapepe Valley LookoutBefore heading to the charming and historic town of Hanapepe, we will make a brief stop at this lookout to enjoy the scenic vistas of this verdant valley.

Swinging BridgeNext in our agenda is a visit to the historic and charming plantation town of Hanapepe. It’s time for a morning snack at Midnight Bear Bakery, where you can enjoy delicious and fresh made pastries with an island twist. In this town you will have an opportunity to support many of the small local businesses boasting Hawaii made souvenirs, artwork and spices. Last but not least, take a walk across the famous swinging bridge built in 1911, if you dare!

Waimea Canyon State ParkWaimea Canyon State Park is one of Kauai's gems, known as the mini Grand Canyon of the Pacific. Here we will make 4 stops, including the main lookout at 3400 feet elevation. You will see the Canyon from various angles and also the Forbidden island of Niihau from afar. Many stories will be shared and fabulous pictures taken. This is the highlight of the tour! Majestic beauty at its finest!

Around 12-1pm we will head to the beautiful grounds of the Waimea Plantation Cottages built in the early 1900's during the sugar plantation days. Overlooking at the blue Pacific Ocean and many tropical trees, we will enjoy delicious lunch at famous Chicken in a Barrel. Have a beer while you are at it! they have a beer wall with over 10 selections or a cocktail; after all you are not driving. We will take a leisure stroll through the property to visit Waimea Bay, one of our few black sand beaches, and Captain Cook's first landing place in Hawaii.

Kauai Coffee CompanyOur adventure begins with a worthwhile visit to Kauai Coffee Co., the largest coffee orchard in the US. At their visitor center you can sample various roast for free, take a stroll through part of their orchard, learn all about the process from seed to cup, and purchase some of your favorite beans. If you dont like coffee we got your back, have an ice cream or a locally made popsicle at their snack shop.
