After breakfast at your hotel in Moshi, drive to Machame Gate (1,811m). Trek through lush rainforest to Machame Camp (3,021m).
Day 2: Machame Camp – Shira Camp (5.3 km | 4–5 hrs)
Ascend through scenic moorland with spectacular mountain views to Shira Camp (3,839m).
Day 3: Shira Camp – Lava Tower – Barranco Camp (10.7 km | 5–6 hrs)
Hike to Lava Tower (4,630m) for acclimatization, then descend to beautiful Barranco Camp (3,986m).
Day 4: Barranco Camp – Karanga Camp (5.2 km | 3–4 hrs)
Climb the famous Barranco Wall and continue across alpine terrain to Karanga Camp (4,034m).
Day 5: Karanga Camp – Barafu Camp (3.3 km | 3–4 hrs)
Trek to Barafu Camp (4,662m), the base camp before your summit attempt.
Day 6: Barafu Camp – Uhuru Peak – Mweka Camp (16 km | 10–13 hrs)
Midnight ascent to Uhuru Peak (5,895m), the highest point in Africa, then descend to Mweka Camp (3,106m).
Day 7: Mweka Camp – Mweka Gate – Moshi (9 km | 3–4 hrs)
Descend through rainforest to Mweka Gate (1,633m). Meet your driver and return to your hotel in Moshi.
