Day 1: Moshi – Londorossi Gate – Mti Mkubwa Camp (7 km | ~3 hrs)
After breakfast in Moshi, drive to Londorossi Gate for registration, then trek through rainforest to Mti Mkubwa Camp.
Day 2: Mti Mkubwa Camp – Shira I Camp (10 km | 6–7 hrs)
Ascend through moorland with scenic views as you trek to Shira I Camp on the Shira Plateau.
Day 3: Shira I Camp – Shira Hut (8 km | 3–4 hrs)
A scenic hike across the Shira Plateau with gradual ascent to Shira Hut.
Day 4: Shira Hut – Lava Tower – Barranco Camp (10 km | 6–7 hrs)
Trek to Lava Tower for acclimatization, then descend to beautiful Barranco Camp.
Day 5: Barranco Camp – Karanga Camp (6 km | 3–4 hrs)
Climb the Barranco Wall and continue across alpine desert terrain to Karanga Camp.
Day 6: Karanga Camp – Barafu Camp (4 km | 2–4 hrs)
Short hike to Barafu Camp, your base camp for the summit.
Day 7: Barafu Camp – Uhuru Peak – Mweka Camp (19 km | 12–14 hrs)
Midnight ascent to Uhuru Peak (5,895m), then descend to Mweka Camp.
Day 8: Mweka Camp – Mweka Gate – Moshi (10 km | 4–5 hrs)
Descend through rainforest to Mweka Gate and transfer back to your hotel in Moshi.
After breakfast in Moshi, drive to Londorossi Gate for registration, then trek through rainforest to Mti Mkubwa Camp.
Day 2: Mti Mkubwa Camp – Shira I Camp (10 km | 6–7 hrs)
Ascend through moorland with scenic views as you trek to Shira I Camp on the Shira Plateau.
Day 3: Shira I Camp – Shira Hut (8 km | 3–4 hrs)
A scenic hike across the Shira Plateau with gradual ascent to Shira Hut.
Day 4: Shira Hut – Lava Tower – Barranco Camp (10 km | 6–7 hrs)
Trek to Lava Tower for acclimatization, then descend to beautiful Barranco Camp.
Day 5: Barranco Camp – Karanga Camp (6 km | 3–4 hrs)
Climb the Barranco Wall and continue across alpine desert terrain to Karanga Camp.
Day 6: Karanga Camp – Barafu Camp (4 km | 2–4 hrs)
Short hike to Barafu Camp, your base camp for the summit.
Day 7: Barafu Camp – Uhuru Peak – Mweka Camp (19 km | 12–14 hrs)
