After meeting your local skipper at the agreed meeting point, you’ll receive a short welcome and overview of the tour before boarding the boat. As we depart from the harbor, the peaceful atmosphere of the lake immediately sets the tone for the experience ahead.
- Stop 2 – River Channel & Mountain Views Step aboard our traditional wooden boat and relax as we cruise through the narrow river channel leading into the open lake. Lush vegetation and floating water lilies surround us, creating a tranquil and picturesque start to the journey. Stop 3 – Lesendro Fortress & Bird Habitat Passing beneath the Tanki Rt bridge, we enter an area covered with floating water chestnuts — one of the lake’s most unique natural features. Soon, the historic Lesendro Fortress appears, standing proudly on the lake’s edge. Built in the 18th century and later reinforced during the rule of Petar II Petrović-Njegoš, this former defensive stronghold holds great historical importance. Today, the surrounding wetlands form a protected bird habitat where you may spot cormorants, herons, and other native species.
