Museo Convento San Francisco y CatacumbasThis 17th century Baroque resort is one of Lima’s most impressive. The Church of San Francisco is famous for its interior decoration and library of antique books. We will visit its catacombs, an underground labyrinth that was used as a cemetery in colonial times, with remains of more than 70,000 people, offering a unique and overwhelming experience.

Plaza de Armas (Plaza Mayor)Then, we will visit the church of Our Lady of Mercy, built in the 16th century. Afterwards, we will head to the Plaza de Armas, or Plaza Mayor, founded in 1535 by Francisco Pizarro. This is the heart of Lima, where the Cathedral, the Government Palace and the Archbishop’s Palace are located, next to colonial houses with carved balconies that reflect Peruvian colonial architectural style.
