We will meet in the city center at the Gran Hotel Bolívar, Jirón de la Unión 958, and from there we will depart for the famous Central Market. It's a 15-minute walk.

Mercado CentralBefore entering the famous Central Market, we will stop to enjoy the renowned "4 Colors" platter. This is a combination of Peruvian dishes: ceviche, Peruvian red spaghetti, chanfainita (a stew), and others. Of course, it will be accompanied by a refreshing glass of chicha morada (a drink made from purple corn).

Mercado CentralWe will visit the Central Market and together we will tour some stalls where we will taste some exotic Peruvian fruits and a refreshing juice made from one of them.

Barrio ChinoWe will then enter the small world of Chinatown. Here we will visit a famous stall, well-known to siu mai lovers; a Chinese appetizer.

Mercado CentralWe will explore the area outside the Central Market and sample famous dishes: anticuchos (grilled meat skewers), pata con huavo (pork feet with egg), choclo con queso (corn with cheese), mazamorra morada (purple corn pudding), and others.

Our tour will culminate around the Plaza de Armas, where we'll try our last snack of the day: the famous Peruvian churro (a crispy fried dough pastry, coated in sugar and often served with chocolate or caramel sauce).
