MetelkovaMetelkova Autonomous Zone is different to other parts of town. It consists of military baracks that got abandoned in 1991 when Yugoslavian army withdrew. These baracks got squated by artists, intelectuals, students soon after that and today Metelkova is an artistic quarter with galleries, clubs, bars, attelies for artists. Especially on Friday and Saturday nights the place changes into a party venue with lots of alternative music.
