  • Your driver will pick you up from your hotel/apartment in Athens centre or Piraeus area. The trip is approx. 3,5 to 4 hours through the valleys & mountains of central Greece and various towns and villages. Of course rest stops will be available on the way. (pass by)
  • Meteora
    “Meteora” is the biggest and most important group of Monasteries in Greece after those in Mount Athos. We find the first traces of Meteora in the 11th century when the first hermits settled there. The rock monasteries, a unique geological phenomenon, are in UNESCO’s List of National Heritages and are one of Greece’s cultural treasures. Six of them are still active and open to visitors. We will see and take photos from the best possible spots of all six of them and we will actually visit up to three of them, depending which ones are open on the day of your visit. Entrance fee to each Monastery is 5€ per person Since Meteora is a place of worship, ladies are required to wear long skirts and have their shoulders covered, while gentlemen shouldn’t wear shorts. If you don’t have a long skirt to wear, the monastery will provide one for you at the entrance free of charge.
  • Kastraki is an old picturesque small village at the bottom of the impressive rocks of Meteora and like the Monasteries of Meteora, Kastraki is also designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and Monument of Nature. (pass by)
  • Kalambaka
    Kalambaka, with 12.000 population today one of the most ancient cities of Thessaly, situated also on the the bottom of the impressive rocks of Meteora. This is the place where you will have free time for lunch and possibly shopping.
  • Battlefield of Thermopylae
    Thermopylae, is world famous for the battle where 300 Spartans, led by King Leonidas, made their famous stand against the Persian invaders in August 480 BC. Thermopylae translated to English means 'hot gates' which is related to the nearby hot Sulphur springs.
  • Leonidas Monument
    Leonidas, the King of the Spartans, who fell in the battle with all his 300 warriors fighting the Persians of Xerxes in 480 B.C.
