Overview
This is a private canyoneering trip just outside Moab, focused on getting off the main trails and into terrain most visitors don’t see. Bow & Arrow is an open canyon with a mix of natural features along the way, including petroglyphs, dinosaur tracks, and views out toward the La Sal Mountains.
The pace is tailored to your group. We move efficiently, but there’s always time to slow down, ask questions, and take in the surroundings without feeling rushed or crowded.
Rappels are set up with clear instruction and backup systems, making the experience approachable even if it’s your first time on rope. The goal is to help you feel comfortable, move well, and enjoy the process rather than just getting through it.

- Harnesses are adjustable and fit up to a 53-inch waist.
- All necessary technical gear for the tour (ropes, harnesses, helmets, gloves, and rappel devices) are provided. You’ll also receive professional instruction and guidance throughout the experience.
- Private transportation
- Food, water, and sun protection are not provided—please come prepared with these items.

We'll meet at the trailhead near the Williams Bottom Campground, about 15 minutes from downtown Moab.

Just outside Moab, Bow & Arrow Canyon offers a mix of desert scenery and hands-on adventure. This half-day trip follows a roughly 3-mile route past petroglyphs, dinosaur tracks, and open canyon views with the La Sal Mountains in the distance.
After a short hike to Longbow Arch, you’ll get oriented with the gear and go over the basics of rappelling. From there, we move through a series of four rappels, including a free-hanging descent of over 100 feet.
No prior experience is needed. Each rappel is set up with clear instruction and backup systems, so you can focus on movement and enjoying the experience.
The route involves uneven terrain, light scrambling, and a steady hiking pace. A reasonable level of fitness helps, but most first-timers do well.
