Owaku-dani ValleyOwakudani is the area around a crater created during the last eruption of Mount Hakone some 3000 years ago. Today, much of the area is an active volcanic zone where sulfurous fumes and hot springs can be experienced. It also has good views of Mount Fuji on clear days. Eggs cooked in Owakudani's hot spring pools with their shells blackened by the sulfur are on sale at shops in the area, and eating one is said to prolong one's life by seven years. (It takes 1hour from Lake Kawaguchi to Hakone and travelers usually stay at Owaku-dani Valley for 40mins)

Hakone JinjaHakone shrine was built in 757. Many military commanders prayed at this shrine devotedly, which brought it fame throughout the country. It has a big gate. It provides an excellent view as it looks like floating on the lake ashi.

Lake AshinokoYou can take a sightseeing ship which navigates Lake Ashi. It looks like a pirate ship! On a clear day, a breathtaking view of Mt.Fuji and the gate of Hakone shrine can be enjoyed from the ship. (Travelers usually stay at Lake Ashinoko for 40mins and it takes 2hours from Hakone to Tokyo)
