The centerpiece of the village is the Monastery of Panagia Tourliani with its 16th century origins, the marble bell tower and cycladic archtiecture. Stroll at the square, see local shops with traditional crafts and handmade jewelry and souvenirs. (optional) You also have the option if you wish to sit in one of the inviting taverns, spots in the square for Greek "meze", drink or snack. (note: not included in tours price).

Monastery of Panayia TourlianiThe monastery of Panagia Tourliani in Mykonos is situated in Ano Mera village. Established in 1542 after the Presentation of Virgin Mary. In 1767 it was restored and named after the Virgin Mary icon that appeared and was found in Tourlos of Mykonos. The building's architecture is with an whitewashed exterior and a colored dome. A beautiful marble fountain and bell tower in the courtyard of the church .
