    Dominated by its magnificent old town hall, the Old Market Square is about 13,000 sq feet, one of the largest city squares anywhere. Host to lots of local events and with shopping streets fanning out in all directions and trams nipping by. Home to several icons of Nottingham and also to some incredible history that even many locals just walk right over without noticing.
  • Bell Inn
    One of several contenders to the oldest pub in Nottingham, this one full of character and tucked away off the oldest market square and rich in history.
  • Many locals don't even know this is here. The only surviving and visible ruins of the old medieval walls that once stretched more than a mile around the city. (pass by)
  • Stand on the spot where the English Civil war effectively started when King Charles I planted his Royal Standard above Nottingham Castle.
  • We'll pass by the picturesque gatehouse to one of the world most famous castles. Watch out for the Sheriff! (pass by)

    Right by the walls of Nottingham Castle is the iconic statue of Robin Hood.
