Ancient Theatre of OhridThe Ancient Theater is located at the foot of the eastern slope of the higher Ohrid hill, under the Samuel Fortress. It is near one of the main entrances to the fortified city – the Upper Gate, from where one may capture and enjoy in the unforgettable breath-taking view of the lake and the surrounding mountains. The theater dates from around 1-st century BC.

St. Jovan KaneoThe last site we will visit for today is the 13th-century church, the Church of “St. John the Evangelist” (Kaneo). Here we can have lunch in a restaurant on the shore. The return to the center of Ohrid can be arranged by small boats.

Ohrid fortress is the symbol of the town, the walls and the towers of the fortress occupy the entire Ohrid hill which rises to 100 meters above the lake level. From all sides, except the southern, that is facing the lake, the city is being protected by high walls and defensive towers in the length of about three kilometers, spreading all up to the Ohrid port.
