＜Yaeyama Firefly Viewing Tour Yaeyama Firefly Viewing Tour
There are many rare animals in the Yaeyama Islands, and “Yaeyama fireflies” are one of them.
They gradually become active from dusk, and by the time it gets dark, countless Yaeyamahimebotaru fireflies are dancing wildly in the forest, shining their light. The scene is like a natural illumination.
Yaeyamahimebotaru are famous for being the smallest fireflies in Japan, but their light is both gentle and powerful, and has attracted many people.
Since they are only active at dusk, you only have a chance to see them for about one hour a day. Let's go take a peek into their fantastic world!
The meeting and dismissal times may vary depending on the season and field conditions of the day. Please contact us for details.
The tour will be held rain or shine. However, we may cancel the tour if we deem the field to be unsafe.
The nature of our tours is such that the content of the tours may be affected by weather conditions, and we cannot guarantee what you will be able to see on any given day. We cannot guarantee what you will be able to see on any given day. If the weather is not at its best on the day of the tour, we will be happy to discuss with you about rescheduling the tour to another day if it is more convenient for you.
Please change into clothes that you do not mind getting wet before the tour.
Please use the restroom before coming to the tour (there are no restrooms near the tour site).
