AstoriaYour day starts in the bustling seaport of Astoria, where the Columbia River feeds into the Pacific, and Lewis & Clark and John Jacob Astor concluded their epic expeditions. Wander the town’s docks, wind up the Astoria Column, and walk through Fort Clatsop, before continuing south along beaches and bluffs.

Cannon BeachWalk the beach and get up close to the iconic 235 foot tall sea stack known as Haystack Rock! Search the tide pools for sea stars when the tide is low and look for puffins and their babies. Afterwards stroll through Downton Cannon Beach and grab some coffee and treats from a local cafe. You can also stop into an art gallery or shop around one of the boutiques.

Ecola State ParkEcola State Park is known for its sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean and lush forests. This is a great opportunity to look for wildlife like deer, elk, bald eagles and sea lions. We will walk to a viewpoint and take in the most stunning view of the coastline (this is a great photo op).
