It will take us about 1.5 hours drive from Casa Mandarina in Antigua Guatemala to reach the Visitor Center in San Vicente Pacaya, where our adventure begins

San Vicente PacayaWe'll start our hike at approximately 1,900 meters (6,300 feet) above sea level. The trail has some steep sections, but we'll take it at a relaxed pace, with plenty of stops to rest, enjoy the scenery, and breathe in the fresh mountain air. Depending on your pace, the ascent may take 1.5 to 2.5 hours, remember there's no rush, it's not a race! The effort will be well worth it when we reach the closest point to the crater.
