    The Western Prom has its own Historic District with 420 buildings built between 1850 through 1920. It's Portland's oldest protected green space designed by the Olmstead Company.
  • Henry Wadsworth Longfellow Sculpture
    The statue is Portland’s most famous son, the great 19th century poet, the American Shakespeare, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. He’s looking down the street to where his boyhood home, the first brick house on the peninsula still stands and is a museum today.
  • Home to the best bank of famed architect John Calvin Stevens buildings in the world
  • This is said to be the best example of high gothic architecture in Maine.
  • This street is named for the Storer-Lunt family who made their money manufacturing soap.
