Overview
Join a private charter bus day trip to Karatsu, located in Saga Prefecture on the island of Kyushu, to discover Japanese history and cuisine. Visit the Niji-no-Matsubara pine grove, Karatsu and Nagoya castles and Kagamiyama Observatory. At the end of the tour, you'll be dropped off directly at your hotel in Karatsu or back to Fukuoka.
After being picked up directly from your hotel in Fukuoka, you'll first stop at the Niji-no-Matsubara to admire the view of the pine grove. You'll then be able to enjoy a free walk at the Karatsu Castle, which is said to have been completed in 1602. Don't miss the occasion to taste the Yobuko's squid, a local specialty, for lunch.
After lunch, you'll be able to enjoy another free walk, this time at the Nagoya Castle, and learn more about the site's history at the museum. Last but not least, you'll enjoy a panoramic view from the Kagamiyama Observatory, also known for the mythical tragic love story of Princess Sayo Matsuura.
