GiethoornGiethoorn, often called the “Venice of the Netherlands,” is a picturesque village in the Dutch province of Overijssel. Known for its network of narrow canals, charming thatched-roof cottages, and wooden footbridges, it offers a fairytale-like atmosphere. Many homes are accessible only by boat or foot, giving the town a peaceful, car-free character. Visitors can explore by whisper boats (silent electric boats), canoe, or bicycle along scenic paths.
