The tour guide/driver will not be joining you on the boat trip to the island as there will be a tour guide; former political prisoner on the island who will give you a guided tour. Your tour guide/driver will be waiting to welcome you back at the port for further adventures.
  • Bo-kaap
Bo-Kaap is located in the heart of the city at the foot of Signal Hill, this vibrant area is home to Cape Town Muslim community, consisting of those who have descended from the "Cape Malays," slaves brought by Dutch settlers from Indonesia, Malaysia, and other African countries. It is well known for its brightly painted, distinctive houses, some of which date back to the 18th century. The area wasn’t initially colorful because all houses were painted white. After the abolition of slavery, residents of Bo-Kaap painted their houses in bright colors as a sign of freedom.
  • District Six Museum
In 1966, 70,000 residents of multi-ethnic District Six were displaced when the South African government decided the community was to be a white one. The museum's permanent exhibit is known as Digging Deeper and is devoted on documenting various parts of District Six life through a dynamic visual experience that incorporates multi-media documentary, digital, and sound elements. The exhibit introduces visitors to the area's former residents and tells their life histories through various themes.
  • Table Mountain

There are different ways of getting to the top. The easiest and quickest option is to take a cable car. The journey up the mountain takes about ten minutes, giving you spectacular views of the mountain below. If the wind is too strong the cableway won't operate, this may result the trip to be cancelled if the conditions seem unfavorable. The cableway is convenient and fun, however if you want to get a richer experience you can hike up. There are routes up the mountain and are quite steep.
