We'll walk along the lovely pedestrianised North Quay taking in the marina, market halls and historic houses, pubs and warehouses. We'll enter the Victorian Steam Railway station and learn about how these trains transformed the lives of visitors and residents alike. We'll see the original rolling stock which is lovingly maintained throughout the winter months.
  • St George's Church
We'll stroll along Atholl Street, now centre of the Island's business district but formerly high class Regency style residential homes. • Tynwald - Parliament Of The Isle Of Man
Now we come to the building which now houses the Island's parliament, the Tynwald. We'll admire the elegant entrance and the former Bank of Mona building we have now nick-named 'the wedding cake'. We'll learn about the Island's unique political system and note that the Island was the first place to give votes for women in 1881.
