Birkat Al Mouz is a small town in wilayat Nizwa in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate of Oman. Birkat Al Mouz is a located at the foothills of Jabal Akhdar so everyone who is going to Jabal Akhdar ends up passing through must pass to go through.

The Aflaj Irrigation Systems of Oman are ancient water channels from 500 AD located in the regions of Dakhiliyah, Sharqiyah and Batinah. However, they represent a type of irrigation system as old as 5000 years in the region named as Qanat or Kariz as originally named in Persia

Our next stop in Jebel Akhdar or they called the Green Mountain is part of Al Hajar Mountains range in Ad Dakhiliyah Governorate of Oman. It rises toca height of 2,980 and encompasses the Saiq Plateau at 2,000 meter above sea level

Al Suwjara Village started with one family. The village is now divided into the old and the new. The new village is nearly 20 minutes hike away from the old one. Four-wheel cars can drive all the way to the new village but to access the old village, one must climb down one side of the mountain, cross a wooden bridge, and climb another to reach the old houses.
