Our driver will pick you up at 8am from your accomodation in Bukit Lawang. The drive takes around 2h to the basecamp. The guides will welcome you and provide you with life jackets. You have the opportunity to use the bathrom or change to swimming clothes.
As you will move through water, you don’t need to bring anything during the canyoning itself. Just your swimming clothes and shoes/sandals/flips flops. The guides can put your phone or camera in a drybag or you bring your own.
You will then walk ca. 15 mins down to the river. Take a dip here, enjoy a coffee from the small shop (you can pay later) or indulge in the great jungle views. After 30 mins the guides will start walking downstream. They will show you the way to go, where to step and when to jump. Only small jumps are mandatory, higher jumps are optional. The tour takes around 3-4h.
When you finish the canyoning, you walk ca. 15 mins back to the car park. Our driver wil bring you to a local restaurant for lunch (included). Finish lunch and enjoy your way back to Bukit Lawang.
Note: General fitness is mandatory. It includes a lot of climbing, walking or holding on to things. No previous canyoning experience required.
