At 10AM you will be arriving to Petra, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the SEVEN WONDERS OF THE WORLD built in the 3rd century BC by the Nabataeans. Upon arriving there, you will get to explore the ancient city and discover its most significant locations. -the Djinn blocks, three enormous squat monuments, standing guard beside the path, they take their name from the Arabic word for spirit, the source of the English word 'genie'. Other than the fact they were built by Nabataeans in the 1st century AD, little is known about their why or wherefore. -Petra treasury, “Al Khazna” Almost 40 meters high and intricately decorated with Corinthian capitals, friezes, figures and more, the purpose of the Treasury is unclear, However, the most recent excavation here has unearthed a graveyard beneath the Treasury. -The famous “Siq” and Water Canals.
