Formed approximately 3000 years ago, this crater beckoned us to embark on a leisurely stroll around its perimeter. The trail meandered along the crater's edge, treating us to captivating views at every turn.

GeysirNext, we ventured into the Valley of Geysers, where we unraveled the etymology of the word "Geysir," which christened all such geothermal marvels. The highlight was Strokkur, Iceland's tallest geyser, erupting every few minutes with impressive force, sending water spurting up to 30 meters into the sky. The vibrant hues of mineral deposits on the ground and the smoky valley combined to create an otherworldly ambiance.

We relished multiple vantage points, even daring to venture closer, and embracing the possibility of getting lightly drenched by the waterfall's mist.
