- The Temple of Olympian Zeus , also known as the Columns of the Olympian Zeus, is a colossal temple in the centre of Athens, now in ruins. It was dedicated to "Olympian" Zeus, a name originating from his position as head of the Olympian gods. Construction began in the 6th century BC during the rule of the Athenian tyrants but it was not completed until the reign of Roman Emperor Hadrian in the 2nd century AD, some 638 years after the project had begun. Monument to the Unknown SoldierWe will see the changing of the guard (Euzones) in front of the old palace, which is today Parliament House, above the central square of Athens.

Plateia SyntagmatosVisit Syntagma Square, the beating heart of modern Athens, where history and city life meet. Set right in front of the Hellenic Parliament, this lively square is framed by neoclassical buildings and inviting cafés. - The National Historical Museum is permanently housed in the Old Parliament Building at Stadiou Street (Kolokotronis square) since 1960. The Museum narrates the history of Modern Greece. Today, Kolokotronis Square is dominated by the equestrian statue of Theodoros Kolokotronis. The bronze statue of the commander in chief of the Revolution of 1821 was originally placed at the beginning of Kolokotronis street. It was transferred to its current location in 1954, during the restoration of the Old Parliament Building, in order to signal the link of the museum with the city. (pass by)
