The Battle of Long TanLong Tân is a village in Bà Rịa – Vũng Tàu Province, Việt Nam, at latitude 10°31′ N, and longitude 107°16′ E. When it was part of a separate South Việt Nam, it was in Phước Tuy province. It is renowned for its rubber plantations and hosts a very small population of roughly 1,200 people. This itinerary is designed for Australian and New Zealand veterans and their relatives and friends, and for visitors interested in the battle sites where those countries’ soldiers fought and died. The focus will be on the sights – and wherever possible, we bring past combatants together in a spirit of reconciliation.

You have time to gather and look back on one of the most well-known Australian engagements of the Vietnam War - the Battle of Long Tan (18th August 1966). Especially, the Long Tan battle field has become the memorial site which annually welcomes a number of Australian veterans.

Long Phuoc TunnelsAfterwards we will take you to the Long Phuoc Tunnels, where you will get a glimpse into the primitive looking, yet highly developed guerilla tactics, used by the Viet-Cong to fight off their enemies.

Nui Dat hillAfter enjoying lunch, which is included on this trip, we will visit the Nui Dat, SAS Hill, another Australian base before heading back to Sài Gòn. We drop you to your hotel or some place in District 1 at your request. End of your tour.
