As you enter the rainforest, the natural sounds and shifting shadows transform the environment into a mysterious, vibrant world. Listen closely to the gentle croaking of frogs echoing through the darkness and keep an eye near the water, where alligators may appear—their sparkling eyes reflecting the light like tiny guardians of the lagoon. Throughout the walk, you’ll have the chance to observe a fascinating variety of species in their natural habitat. With some luck, you may spot colorful frogs such as the Blue Jeans frog, the hourglass frog, and the iconic red-eyed tree frog, one of Costa Rica’s most famous wildlife symbols.
