The estate not only stands out for its quality wines but its cheeses too, with an opportunity to meet the goats themselves. Along with their longstanding mascot, who's been with them since 1981.

StellenboschIn 1679, Simon van der Stel, the Governor of the Cape Colony, discovered the valley and named a small island on the Eerste River after himself. The town's architecture includes restored Cape Dutch buildings from the 18th and 19th centuries. However, the arrival of motor vehicles led to the demolition of some historical buildings to make way for new commercial buildings.
